This exhibition features 24 regionally and nationally known artists who were students of Marvin Satlzman, Professor Emeritus at UNC (1967-1996). Marvin has had a wide influence and lasting impact on many students and is in his own right a very well known and highly regarded artist. In 1998 he was recognized for his contribution to the state by being awarded the prestigious North Carolina Award in Fine Arts by the Governor.

"The artists in this exhibition are diverse. As artists, they execute their craft in different ways. They are painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, political cartoonists, and ceramicists. The commanlity they share is Marvin Saltzman, at one poin in time they all attended UNC Chapel Hill where Marvin was both a professor and mentor."
